Ultrasound is a simple, safe, painless diagnostic procedure that bounces high-frequency sound waves off parts of the body and captures the returning “echoes” as images.
Ultrasound is able to capture moving images of pelvic and abdominal function (including gallstones), breast abnormalities, the male reproductive system, the kidney and thyroid systems, as well as the developing
fetus, among other Ultrasound Procedureapplications. Ultrasound can also capture moving blood images of large blood vessels.
We Can Perform Sonogram of:
•ABDOMINAL SURVEY • LIVER • GALLBLADDER • PANCREAS • SPLEEN • AORTA • COLOR FLOW DOPPLER • CAROTIDS • LOWER EXT. VENOUS· • PELVIS • KIDNEYS • BLADDER • SCROTUM • PROSTATE • THYROID • BREAST • OB / GYN • INFANT BRAIN • INFANT HIPS
During Procedure.

You will be positioned on a comfortable exam table and a clear gel will be applied to you skin; the gel acts as a conductor. A transducer, a hand-held device that sends and receives ultrasound signals, is moved back and forth over the area of your body being imaged.
Images instantly are captured on a monitor and transferred to film or videotape for our radiologist to review and interpret. It usually takes from 15-30 minutes to complete. After the exam you will be able to return to your normal activities.
